Auto-aim leans. Auto-fire starts wars.

Doloc Town Settings

Doloc Town 1.0 settings: auto-aim is not auto-fire, language and text size, key remaps, fishing assist, and map binds. Pair this page with the controls guide.

Updated August 2026

Settings is the menu people often skip. Auto-aim leans shots toward the cursor. It is not a turret. Auto-fire is R or middle mouse on the common 1.0 layout — that toggle is a controls bind, and it will wake a Chameleon Bug room that would otherwise ignore you. You can have aim help and still choose every shot.

Language, text size, and key remap live here too. Creator videos are keyboard and mouse. Steam Input may work; the store lists Windows. If a bind clashes with your mouse, change it in the game menu. This page lists defaults, not a layout you have to keep.

Auto-aim versus auto-fire

Auto-aim is a settings slider or toggle that leans the drone’s shots. Auto-fire is a combat bind: R or middle mouse. Confusing them is how people write “the game shoots for me” and then faint at 60 percent in a room that was willing to ignore you. Combat is hold fire in a new room. How to beat covers the fight: five Chameleon Bugs in Doloc Rivervalley, then Wetland’s Vessel, then Old City’s Guardian. Space dodges on a 1.2 second cooldown. Invincibility after a hit is 500 ms. Crits deal double.

Turn auto-fire off before you walk into a peaceful slime. Leave auto-aim on if your cursor drifts. Neither setting replaces a drone loadout with battery and a combat chip. Farm station bots after Commander are automation, not the combat drone. Auto-Harvest Chamber snips plants. It is not a turret either.

Language, text, and what the menu actually changes

1.0 ships several UI languages. This wiki mirrors seven of them: English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, and Brazilian Portuguese. Changing the game language changes official names on items, scenes, and monsters — Doloc Rivervalley, Wetland, Old City Ruins, Chameleon Bug, Type-33, Type-99. This fan wiki follows those names.

Text size exists and is not a full narrator. Reviews call remapping and type size present but not deep. If you need larger UI before Old City’s radiation line, set it before you leave town. The wiki language switcher in the header is independent of the game menu — set both if you want the same official names on screen and on the page.

Binds, fishing assist, and the map key

Defaults videos use: WASD or arrows, E inspect, T tech tree, left click fire, right click lock, Space dodge, R or middle mouse auto-fire. Tools swing on click. Fishing is hold to charge, press to lift, hold green, release red, tap gold. Perfect-cast window is 0.1. Energy is 10 per cast. Fishing assist in settings is the slider that makes Sturgeon less of a wrist exam. Turn it up before you hunt a calendar fish.

Map key lives in settings. Dual detail modes exist. Hidden rooms the map never marks will not ping — How to find is the walk-in rule. Sprint is the upgraded jetpack, not minute zero. Double jump is the guild pack for Rivervalley. Launch on the cargo pad is an interact, not a hotkey. How to redeem is the booth keypad for 12311, 24141, and 35321 — on-screen digits, no secret D-pad code.

What the menu cannot do

Acid stays at 0.45. Protect is weather, keratinized, platforms, and bracelets whose text mentions immunity. Settings do not feed animals, add a third weekly gift, or add a public Trello. Patch talk is Steam news and the official Discord in the footer.

Sibling page: controls for the bind list videos actually use. Review for who 1.0 is for. If a thumbnail promised “one-click auto farm,” that was another genre. Commander bots are a tech node, not a settings checkbox.
